A rigged, but unused example in dry original paint. This decoy features a carved serrated comb, inletted neck, and scored tail feathers. A striking decoy in untouched original condition.

There are only a few other drakes known in this style--Doc Starr's (Decoys of the Atlantic Flyway, color plate 14), which sold for $15,000 in 2009, and another that sold for nearly $11,000 in 2015. Both were identified as hens and each had a bill repair.

17" long.
