Painted Circle in a Square Checker Gameboard
New England, Ca. 1880

Poplar painted in three colors (black, red and green) on a varnish ground in pristine original condition. The most desirable dry, finely crazed surface. Small, barely noticeable edge chip in bottom corner has been glued back.
